One day in Sweden and a castle right out of a fairy tale

We were in Copenhagen for a whole week and that gave us plenty of time to explore things outside the city. It made sense to go see Malmo, the third largest city in Sweden. You hop on a train in Copenhagen central station and after a short picturesque ride crossing the Øresund bay, you find yourself in Malmo. We went on a weekday and there were very few people around. Another day trip easily made from Copenhagen is to visit the Frederiksborg castle in Hillerød, a city north of Copenhagen. I highly recommend a trip there to walk in the beautiful baroque gardens and marvel at the splendor of the former royal residence.
