Blue + Pink collaboration

We are in love with the way designers all over the world embraced new colors for Fall during Fashion Week. The pieces presented were gorgeous, but it was the striking way the colors worked together that really stood out. Pantone, the global authority on color, has announced the colors for 2016, and there are two – Rose quartz and Serenity, basically pink and blue (just like my blog title!).

We loved this combination and why not! This unusual color combination has been on the mood boards of Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Sonia Rykiel to name a few. These designers used blue + pink in their collections and gave the pieces a hot undertone by interjecting some yellow in the mix.

So I collaborated with Devika of Haute Palette to showcase our looks with this palette.

Shruti’s look

I am wearing a bubblegum pink knit skirt and a navy sequinned crop top by Zara. Zara is always a great place to shop for the latest trends for less and crop tops have been all the rage this year. Carrying this color theme further, I brought out my pink Kate Spade sunglasses and the navy blue Burberry bag. I’ve been wearing these mirrored Manolos all summer and they promise to jazz up all my Holiday outfits as well.

Devika’s look

My retro lady like herringbone pencil skirt from Boden in cheek-pink color is the order of the day. This acrylic-wool skirt is the perfect piece for chillier temperatures this Fall (and even beyond). With body hugging pencil silhouette this skirt did grace and allure like no other.  Paired it with my navy Zara ruffle front blouse for that delicate feminine vibe and completed my look with these gorgeous Ann Taylor Odette Pumps in nude tone, fiesty Fendi sunnies in white and this cute Kate Spade bag in bubble pink color.

  1. Ooh I loved it. Definitely want to see More of this sort of collaboration! Also I loved how much more technical and detailed this article was, when you’re speaking of mood board across the brands. So it talks not only about this outfit, but also gives a background about where it’s coming from.
    Looking forward to more!!
