Fall colors in New England

People world over flock to New England to experience the Fall colors. One of my favorite spots to photograph this amazing sight is the Loon mountain resort. This ski resort is located in the town of Lincoln, NH and is a 2.5 hour drive from Boston. Every year around this time, we pack a little picnic and drive up stopping only when we reach the Flapjack’s Pancake House. You can enjoy a delicious breakfast here (pancakes with a large dollop of maple butter, yum!) and head up to the resort which is 5 minutes from here. You can save the resort for later and also continue on to the famous Kancamagus highway that runs through the White Mountains region and boasts of gorgeous views. While you will encounter plenty of lookout points if you keep driving on the highway, my favorite spot for photographs is still up high on the Loon mountain. The ski resort offers a gondola sky ride which is an experience you will not forget. It whisks you up the 2,733 ft summit of Loon Peak where you can spend time marveling at the fall foliage from your vantage point. This is an ideal spot to devour your picnic lunch or buy some at the cafeteria here.

Look at these gorgeous pictures and tell me if you’d like to visit!
